There are two kinds of love.

There are two kinds of love.

The one love is sticky, where people want, need, and own. Where the colorful dramas of lust, desire, and passion play or control — and where tightness sets the tone.

The other love wishes to see the other one happy. The partner shall thrive. The air is full of tenderness, friendliness, and generosity. The energy is calm, attentive, and kind. We all feel the quality of this emotion in a room with a mother and her newborn child.

The first love defines the other as an object. The importance is to receive love, get pleasure, and become satisfied. Isn’t that ordinary? This drug called love never has enough and leads to frustration when conditions change. Centering one’s life around oneself will cause, without a doubt, suffering.

To begin the day by asking what I can do to make the other one happy might be first an exercise. Yet, at one point, supporting and thinking of others will become a habit and then a trait. Naturally, one enlarges one’s center of attention. From the partner to the whole family, to one’s neighbors, or even foreign people — not to forget the friends with whom one is in dispute.

And one day, you will shine on the world like the sun.

It all begins with setting the right intention: I am only one. Let’s focus on how to bring happiness, love, and attention to more than one.
